It's Spring and time for CoffeeTalkMom to share some new websites and insights. Some of us (me included!) get stuck using the same stuff all of the time. If I repeat it, I learn it, and then I am closed off to trying new things. New things take time and energy to learn. Well, here's to trying something new and, in the process, learning to expand our small window on the world.
Let's start with a book CoffeeTalkSister gave me years ago. I resurrected it off my shelf and began reading it in the mornings to encourage me to go outside my comfort zone and get back to some of the joys and things that I set aside to be a mom for 20+ years. It has encouraged me to see a play, pick up my paints, organize my closet, and more. I don't follow it religiously, but it is an amazing to open it a couple of times a week and write about things that I haven't thought about in years: The Artists Way.
Recently, I started using THIS to shop for some bulky grocery items. It was AMAZING and the delivery came straight to my door for a $5.95 shipping fee. The amount of time and energy it takes to load my cart get it into the car and empty it in to the house is well worth 6 bucks. If you were wondering, the prices are reasonable and not inflated to cover the costs.
Want a new travel site that will kick butt? Last weekend I used it to book a Hyatt Regency for $105 on a busy weekend night. By busy, I mean there was a Star Trek Convention at the hotel next door. (I'll save that for a different blog!). The next best price for the same hotel was $158! Here is the SPOT!
Have you tried to SHOP HERE? It will take you directly to your favorite store, then send you a check for a rebate. It didn't take long and I received my first check shortly after my purchase. Not to overstate this, but it's easy and, if it is something you were shopping online for anyway, you might as well get 3%-10% back on your purchase.
Lastly, if you want to support American made clothing and gifts, try this SITE. CoffeeTalkSon is an investor and these young entrepreneurs know what they are doing and love making America strong. I'm all for that!
Never heard of this Netflix pic but maybe I just missed it. Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton star in this cute, feel -good movie. If you need something girly on a rainy spring afternoon, Michael Douglas is his snarky best!
There is so much to see and do! Spring is full of promise and I hope you do something for YOU this week. Spend an hour trying something new! This photo is from the flowers at The St. Julien Hotel in Boulder and one of the great Happy Hour Spots!
Cheers (with THIS WINE of course!),
CoffeeTalkMom
