SO…maybe it's just the fact that I have been enjoying the Netflix show, "The Mysteries of Laura" lately, or maybe I am losing my mind…I am not sure which…both? Here is a funny story that some of you may know. A year ago, I went to volunteer for the Thanksgiving cooking for 300 college students. This was a 7am wake up call to a kitchen of volunteers at the local church. In the process of plating the pies, I got into a fascinating conversation with an elderly couple that went something like this:
"So…do you live in the area?"
"Yes…I live about a mile away."
"Where"?
"By Boulder hospital in a neighborhood called The Newlands"
"Where"?
"Between Evergreen and Forest"
"Where"?
"On 11th"
"What's your address?"
OK…I just met this man, but I gave him my address and low and behold, he grew up in the house next door to me when our property was a rose garden. The conversation progressed with me asking a bunch more questions. He was actually BORN in the house across the street! This was amazing to me and all I could think of was, "God works in mysterious ways." I mean…what are the chances that I would be standing next to this person and strike up THIS conversation?? At this point, I had to go so as a closing remark he said, "Oh…something else…my Dad is buried under your house."… UHH…What? Bahaha!!
Needless to say, our house was built and I am pretty sure Grandpa went along with the dirt of the basement. I must say that I have never felt strange or unsafe or freaked out. We have always thought it is funny that our dog, Lexie will not go into the laundry room in the basement. I just say that "Grandpa is in there". So, "What about the missing pans"? , you ask? I am missing a new-ish non-stick large pan. Who takes this? What the heck? Last night I even resorted to having Buzz look in EVERY corner of the kitchen…nothin'! I am pretty sure Grandpa took it…just like the missing socks, keys, and an occasional pair of sunglasses. At least I have an excuse!
Here's to a great week and keeping track of your S**ff!

P.S. Photo title, "Waiting for Grandpa"…and check out "Mysteries of Laura" on Netflix…cute and not intense…kind of like "Murder She Wrote" for 2016.
